It's almost time to go to the polls and, let's face it, this campaign has had its share of surprises. As in every election, the topics of working time, education, defense, Europe have been discussed over and over again. But what about innovation?
Cultsa marketplace that connects creators of 3D models with people who want to print objects in 3D, wanted to remind the presidential candidates that this is a major issue for the years to come and that France is teeming with ideas and talent. How did they do this? Through a special operation: they have reinterpreted and modernized an old symbol: the bust representing a personality thanks to 3D printing
The 3D files were all modeled by Cults using 3DSMax software from photos. 3D Prod then printed them in stereolithography with a ProX 800 from 3D Systems. The resin used is a PA type resin of grey color.
Showing your support for your favorite candidate for the election has never been so innovative. You can get free 3D printable models of the 5 main candidates(François Fillon, Benoît Hamon, Marine Le Pen, Emmanuel Macron and Jean-Luc Mélenchon) on the Cults platform.
Once the busts are made in 3D, feel free to take pictures of your creations and share them with us and with Cults.
What about industrial printing?
Unless they are both host and manufacturer, 3D printing companies are less concerned by this legal aspect. Indeed, most often, between professionals, the files are created by the customer who holds the rights. In this case, the 3D printing company acts as a subcontractor to manufacture the part from the file, with exchanges usually protected by a confidentiality agreement.
